ABOUT HONFLEUR GALLERY
The Honfleur Gallery opened its doors in January of 2007 as the first main street art gallery in Anacostia in over 40 years. This state of the art space holds over 1400 square feet of exhibition space combined between the main and second levels. The gallery has carried and will continue to carry a wide variety of contemporary fine art.

One Year Anniversary - Janaury 2008
The Honfleur Gallery presented a retrospective of its 2007 season and represented artists.
Into the Light – March 2008
A refreshing group exhibited juried by DC arts leaders and artist that focused on artworks that highlighted one or all of the following: LIGHT, INNOVATION and/or OPTIMISM.
The Annual East of the River Group Show - August 2008
Focused on artist and artwork created by or about people and areas East of the Anacostia River in Washington D.C.
Three Lenses - September 2008
Created by three French artists, Jean Noel L'Harmeroult, Jean Francois Rauzier & Cyril Anguelidis, this exhibit captured three varying perspectives on contemporary photography and digital art.
Fragile by John K. Lawson - November 2008
John K. Lawson is a former New Orleans based artist who lost his life's work in the floods of Hurricane Katrina. Lawson will presented selected works including C-prints, retraced illustrations encased in encaustic wax and sculptures made from salvaged mardi gras beads.
DC FOTOWEEK in ANACOSTIA - November 2008
Hosted by ARCH, the Development Corporation hung five different exhibitions for DC's inaugural Fotoweek throughout the Historic Sector of Anacostia. Exhibits included the following artists: John K. Lawson, Jean Francois Rauzier, Renee Woodward, Jean Francos Bauret, National Geographic PhotoCamp, Marlon Norman, Ashley Boyd, Phil Stein, Cathlyn Newell, Andrea Hope, Marshall Hynson & Pix Tour.
